Our Story

PSMI was established in 2005 by James Shalaby, Pharm.D., who previously managed Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT), Kaiser Permanente’s enterprise-wide medical terminology solution. Our team of medical informaticists, analysts and engineers come from a wide breadth of clinical and industry backgrounds. We are doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and technologists and we have worked for large provider organizations, HIT vendors, and original terminology domain pioneers.

PSMI is a close network of consultants who have worked together for more than 10 years to solve some of the most challenging issues in Health IT.
