We are focused on terminology solutions ranging from modeling, design, change mangement to adoption and interoperable mappings. Much of our focus has been on practical integration into exiting sytems (EMRs, EHRs, reporting systems, CDS). I have a small team of experts spanning several key clinical domains including medications, laboratory, problems, procedures, imaging and genetics.
Tera is a Senior Terminologist at PSMI. Her previous career experience includes Clinical Consulting for the College of American Pathologists and 7 years as a Senior Solution Designer in clinical content and terminology at Cerner Corporation. Over the past 14 years, Tera’s career focus has been implementation of terminology and data standards in HIT Systems. Recent project work has included mapping projects, value set development, content tagging for a wide variety of use cases as well as education, mentoring, and strategic guidance in knowledge management. Tera has experience working with multiple HIT vendor systems, large academic medical centers, hospitals, ambulatory clinics, and content vendors. Tera’s expertise and experience spans multiple terminology types, clinical domains, and terminology management tools.
Diane Carter is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist with more than 20 years experience with build and implementation of laboratory and EHR systems including Cerner, Epic and Relay Health. Diane is experienced in mapping LOINC and SNOMED codes for Public Health laboratory interfaces, HL7 messaging and HIE. She has worked with software developers on medically guided search engines based on UMLS and MESH standards. With Kaiser Permanente, Convergent Medical Terminology, she published submissions to LOINC and SNOMED, participating in convergence of UK Read codes and SNOMED RT to SNOMED CT.
Peter is a Project Manager / Scrum Master at PSMI. With over 20 years in the software industry as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master and Technical Lead, he brings both technical and collaborative skills to the team. But he drinks too much coffee.
R. Ronald Dionne, MD is a pediatrician who has worked in clinical informatics since 1996. He was medical director and content organization lead for Medifor, Inc., a creator of innovative patient education and provider productivity tools, from 1996 until 2000. From 2000 until 2008, Ron was product manager and clinical lead for the design team of Allscripts' TouchWorks EHR. Since 2008 Ron has been a private consultant in various aspects of clinical informatics, with major emphasis on data and terminology solutions and clinical decision support.
Denny Cordy has sixteen years’ experience creating and maintaining clinical terminology for use in EHR systems. As Lead Modeler, Denny trained and managed a team of SNOMED CT modelers responsible for developing Kaiser Permanente's Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT) and worked with clinical and business stakeholders to resolve usability, modeling and mapping issues. Denny has Masters Degrees in Nursing Administration and Health Care Informatics. He has twenty-four years of clinical experience in ED, Primary Care, Long Term Care, ICU and NICU. He is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and certified in EpicCare Ambulatory and IP Documentation with experience in EMR implementation and support. He is an active member of the IHTSDO Nursing Special Interest Group (SIG).
Rafique is a senior HIT consultant with over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, concept development, technology evaluation and alternatives, enterprise and data architectures, solution design and development, system integration and optimization. Rafique served as Sr. Consultant at Kaiser Permanente for over 12 years to design and deliver many healthcare solutions including a key role in the management of one of the largest data warehouses. Rafique is Epic certified in Clarity Data and proficient in Chronicles, Ambulatory, Bridges and Web Services. He has hands-on experience with Cerner, InterSystems HealthShare and Ensemble. He's skilled in many technical areas, data technologies, Agile approaches, and programming languages. He's also working on his graduate degree (focusing on data science and machine learning) and is a member of the Data Systems Laboratory at Harvard University. Since leaving Kaiser Permanente in 2014, where she served as the Director of Convergent Medical Terminology, she has been providing consulting to various organizations using her extensive knowledge with SNOMED CT, ICD-10, CPT4, LOINC, etc. and Epic System to provide solutions. She is certified in Epic, and specializes in providing terminology solutions and mapping for interoperability and data migrations, provide strategy for clinical documentation improvement initiatives, and perform Clinical Content builds.
